What is this for?
I was replacing hood latch cable today and noticed this plug from the driver side latch. One of the wire has broke off. Is this the hood open/closer sensor plug? Since it was broken I didn’t not reconnect back to the latch and no warning light came out when I took it for a drive. Any idea what is that for?

That connector goes to the switch for the hood open warning light and also works with the alarm of the car.
