A/C Compressor Replacement cant find in WIS
I just finished the DPF delete on a new to me 2011 GL 350 Bluetec with 150k miles. The AC was working when I bought the GL. It has been sitting in my shop for at least 6 weeks while I was modifying the exhaust, replacing the oil cooler seals, and removing the swirl values. I also replaced the voltage regulator, battery, and put on a new belt.
I finally got it running this weekend and now the AC will not work and there is a noise coming from the AC Compressor. I performed the Star diagnostic and it came back staying the Compressor did not pass the test. The system has pressure but when it activated the compressor there was no change in pressure. It asked if the center of the compressor was turning with the pulley and it was. It then said there was a problem with the compressor.
I can buy a "Kit" from Autozone for just under $600. However, I cant find the procedure for replacing the compressor in WIS. I find everything else about the climate control system in WIS but not replacing the compressor.
- Where do I find the procedure in WIS for replacing the AC compressor?
- Any guides or suggestions before I attempt this?
- Any thoughts on why the compressor would decide to go bad while sitting in my workshop?

Thanks Plutoe, I looked through group 83 and have found everything but the Remove / Install Refrigerant compressor. I am using my VIN but "Show Documents" does look a little different then I am use to. I see some greyed out documents that do not appear to be applicable to my GL. I found the procedures for the Expansion Valve, Fluid Reservoir, and even the removing pulley from refrigerant compressor. Very bizarre. I feel like its right in front of me and I am just not seeing it.
