GL450 Speaker Wiring Question

I have been unable to find an answer to this question. I have replaced all the speakers in my car including the tweeters in the door panels. My vehicle is wired with the same colored wires for every speaker. One wire is green, the other is still green with a black stripe running through it. Which is positive and which is negative? The problem is that the speaker works either way you wire it and I am trying to do it correctly.

I am having an issue with the bass on my car. When I turn the volume all the way up the sound pops in and out unless I reduce the bass to 0.

Thanks in advance!

I believe the one with the black stripe is negative. The reason you hear the popping sound is because one or more of your wires are crossed.

Hi Zach8131,

Did you change anything else besides the speakers? Can you provide any additional information? It would help to know how you connected the new speakers?
