The Bosch battery mentioned earlier is actually an Exide battery and Exide is considered the worse of the 3 main battery makers. Interstate is typically Clarios for AGM batteries. In a hot state, the batteries don't last that long, but if you don't drive the car much, it doesn't get fully charged and driving around on a half charged battery is a good way to give it a short life. Got 16 years out of my original H8/AGM battery and another 14 years out of an H6 battery. In a cold state though. Varta is the OEM maker for Mercedes and it's Clarios that makes those batteries.

A pretty good battery source. They have their own stores in some towns. Battery brand name is Deka. Not dime store stuff.
