Hello everyone! Got the check engine light with the P0456 code (Purge control system has a slight leak) as "Current and stored" status. 3 other codes appear below it as stored: P0300, P0301 and P030. Basically, misfires in cylinders 1 and 3.
I never had a check engine light before on this MB vehicle. 155k miles on it now.
Did anyone deal with the same code/problem? Any advice on what I should be checking, or possibly replacing?
Attached is the image of the computer with these codes.
Any advice and experiences are VERY welcomed! Thank you,
P0456 could be as simple as a loose or missing gas cap.
the other misfires are plug, wire or individual coil related. If that tool can clear all codes, do so after checking your evap hose, gas cap etc.
if the misfires reappear then swap the suspect coil from misfiring cylinder to healthy cylinder around to see if it follows, that’ll tell you it’s the coil.
in the grand scheme of things nothing serious but the MB dealership may try to stick you for a replacement engine.

Thank you for your answer, Max!
I cleared codes and they didn't come up again in the last few days. But. my battery was dying so every time starting a car it would take a while (maybe that was an issue).
I decided to buy a new battery and replaced it yesterday.
When I pulled out the old battery, I saw that the bottom area is a little wet. See the picture attached.
Does anyone know why it's wet'ish? Never opened this area before, not sure if it's supposed to be like that.
