Need new tires

this is me
and back to the point I was making - this is a good tire if OP wants to go off of a prepared surface. It’s also a good tire if all they ever want to do is look like they go off road. I’ve been happy with mine both on and off road, and I’ve brought some objective facts to support this position.
you’ve brought nothing but hate, discontent and hyperbole.
We should start a thread titled Pretend You Know Everything.
Allowable topics: Tires, oil, and LED bulbs.

You might be interested in what I did on the fog lights:
See, the housing has a black surface inside. I covered it with aluminum foil HVAC tape (not the shiny mylar stuff but the satin stuff), so now it scatters a bunch of light directly off to the sides. I then took off the plastic covers because I couldn't get them to not block light. It looked terrible with all the bumper colored hardware around it, so I spray painted the inside matte black. I trimmed the masking tape with a single edge razor blade. Didn't do such a great job but like a good transsexual, it's "passable".
Seriously, they make a great low speed off-road light now, and great daytime running lights, and great supplements to the low beams on dark highways when there are oncoming lights. Nice bright H11 LEDs. Super easy to install except I had to cut the black housing in back to free space for the back of the bulb.

Thought provoking, too. I was berated twice for going off topic. Well, last I checked, people aren't paying to have questions answered, and I definitely ain't getting paid. We do this for fun and the satisfaction of helping a brother out. I hadn't even noticed that the OP was looking for long wearing tires; if you already know what you want, why ask people? I'm not a tire salesman. Go onto Tire Rack or whatever and look for high wear rating tires.
No, you ask a question on a forum such as this in order to get feedback on your question. That doesn't mean a direct answer; it means you will get feedback, which may very well steer you in a direction you hadn't anticipated.
Such as not placing so much emphasis on wear mileage, or considering a more versatile tire.
Just because someone makes an account and asks a question doesn't make me his [female dog]. Now in this case, OP was quite gracious; it was the interlopers that decided to start telling other people how they should think, act, and respond.
It's ridiculous; I post a lot because I've got free time on my hands and I like thinking out loud, but these guys must really have nothing better to do. It's embarrassing.
Y'all can make fun of me for my ghetto fog light surround now.

It looks lovely though, much more appealing than paved roads.

The real question is how this turned into an off-road thread. One guy went from Michelin street tires to Michelin street tires, feel the excitement? This was until someone felt the need to suggest AT tires to someone who will never use them, and expressed zero interest. I simply said to "think about it", because of all of the factual failings of an AT tire for everyday use...for someone who lives....on a street.
I actually have to make it up a long uphill rocky driveway, and I make adjustment for it. There are more or less "knobby" street tires available, and I'm not looking for track slicks, believe me. BUT I never had a motive situation where my tires let me down. So, do I need AT tires? Maybe a little tiny bit more than an average owner. Am I willing to compromise my 1000mph turnpike game for them???? Haha, no fing way.
See how everything is nice and plowed 12 hours after the snow? For these frosty roads I want a tire that actually has grip in snow and ice....guess what, that AIN'T an all-terrain tire!
duh.
I can drive on the beach in deep sand with half-shot all-season tires, lol....

It seems to me when you're on a road trip is when you're more likely to want to take an impromptu off-road adventure.
Nah I'll just stick with the trail tires, second set for snow tires.
I just did another round trip marathon: 1700 miles in two days. Actually ran into a late season snow storm on the way out of Boise, so I was briefly a bit terrified, but otherwise the trail tires served me just fine.

I bought them as my #2 set for winters in PA. I dnl the 20" oem with Scorpions very much, going with 245/60-18 Destination LE3 a proper "Highway All-Season" tire. I've been buying a lot of Firestones recently, not glamourous but they get the job done.https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=209
- What We Liked: Comfortable ride and intuitive steering feel along with good snow grip
- What We'd Improve: A small increase in wet traction
- Conclusion: A well-rounded tire that is worthy of its high survey ranking
