GL Class (X164) 2007-2012: GL320CDI, GL420CDI, GL450, GL550

bought a 2009 gl550 today. driver door does not lock or unlock is it actuator?

2009 gl550
bought a 2009 gl550 today. driver door does not lock or unlock is it actuator?
basically driver door stays unlocked or locked until you manually push up or down. so i have to open the back door to lock the front driver door.

is it the actuator?

is it easy to install? part number?

could it be something else?

You might need the door lock actuator:


Part number will depend on the VIN.

DarthVaderpa is correct.

I have a 2010 GL550 and I've replaced 3 or 4 on my doors. Easy and straightforward replacement.

found a mobile mercedes mechanic charging $180 to install. Bought the part for $300.
