2012 GL350 Malfunction
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I have a 2012 GL350. During driving, my malfunction light came on, I felt the rear end start to lower, and the ride became extremely rough. No sound or anything coming from the car. I feel it is a compressor because it seems odd for both shocks to go at one time. Also, on of the rear shocks was replaced 10k miles ago. Does this sound like a compressor? The malfunction light comes but no codes when I run a diagnostic test. I replaced the compressor relay hoping it was that small of a fix and I'm getting the same results.

Could be level sensors
could be two blown bags
could be a burst line or two
right now it sounds like your riding on the bump stops do so not drive
first thing I’d do is to try and get the rear reinflated if your code reader can do that
then check for obvious damage to any of the level sensor arms
then check for leaks by ear and leak detection spray
the compressor is not the likely culprit for the rear lowering, that’s either an errant level sensor or a blown bag or line.
however if you ignore a leak for long, your compressor will be toast in short order.

will a defective valve body give this too?
if you have access to a good scanner does it give any codes
weird for sensors to both sides to go out at same time - there is a plug that takes all sensors from rear axle sub assembly - but feel that this would show up wear sensor light and ABS etc if it was faulty?? - it is by memory to the right front of the axle sub assembly -
agree with MAX BLAST above - on bump stops - dangerous
when you open and close the drivers door can you hear the valve body at the front right bumper bar (my cars are RHD)
