It can be some of the following issues:
Air conditioner compressor;
Power steering pump;
Belt tensioner;
Idler pulley...
these are the most common issues.

I have a 2010 GL550.
Does the ticking increase when press the gas pedal?
When I replaced my serpentine belt,, it came in a kit that included two (2) pulleys, one (1) belt tensioner, and of course the belt.
The only the that was genuine Mercedes parts was the belt.
On a cold start, one of the pulleys will make a similar noise but stops after about 45 seconds.
Have you checked the oil? This sounds similar to a lifter.
