07 GL450 Cranks, No Start
So I'm having an issue getting my truck to start. Engine tries turning over about 4-5 tries then it shuts off. At first, I thought it was the spark plugs and coils. Recently, I had an oil leak due to the valve cover. I fix that issue and because oil was on the plugs, I replaced them along with the coils. However, the truck still won't start.
The last time I drove the truck, it hesitated to start on multiple occasions; however, it managed to start.
Within the past year, I've changed the starter, fuel pump, CPS, voltage regulator, ECM, and battery. What else could be the issue?
During last visit, mechanic mentioned that the timing chain may need to be replaced eventually; but, I don't hear any whining noises during starting. Also, I recently changed my oil and didn't discover any metal shavings.
Any help would be appreciated.

The symptoms sound like bad CPS, but you have replaced it. Which seller did the CPS come from?
Before the latest no-start, did the engine have any unaddressed leaks? Any smells, steam or smoke from the tailpipe?

Crankshaft sensors would do this. Have you scanned for codes? You may not see a check engine light, but codes might have been thrown and stored.

Yeah, I had a valve cover leak. I got that fixed and changed the plugs because they were covered in oil. No smells, steam, or smoke; however, the engine started knocking right before the no-start.
