A Little Fix

The spring that holds the seat belt buckle up is too aggressive. I tried positioning it so it is under the belt, reaching under to hold it out of the way when I lower the seat, cursing ... no luck.
I hoped I could weaken the spring, but it is pretty beefy. I took the spring out, and the buckle just flops down, out of reach when you put the seat bench back down.
So I tethered the buckle up with a wire tie:
I couldn't find my black wire ties, so it's ugly, but is not visible in normal usage. Plus as you can judge by the dirt, I'm not super strict about aesthetics.
The nut holding the buckle to the frame is copper soldered in place, so it takes quite a bit of torque to break. I'm guessing there is an electrical function involved? Who cares, it still works.
Hope this helps someone who likes to fold down their second row seats sometimes.
