1/ No Start when weather is cold below 40F. Batteries, keyfobs, lights, radio..etc working good
Temporary fixed by removing Negative battery cable for 10-30s. Plugged back in and Start right away without headache. Problem had been happened about a year …then …
2/ No Start after leaving the car for about 2 days no driving…Did same thing to Start it by removing Neg battery cable to reset computer modules.
But this time many warning lights and messages popped up: SRS, ESP, Air Matic, etc…
3/After doing some research online, decided to open the Central Gateway Module ( CGW)
CGW until is located under driver seat.
30-40min to remove drivers seat.
Found the problem that there 2 wires( red and orange) of CGW connector got corroded.
After Inspected the CGW board and cleaned wires and connectors, put them back and Start right up without any symptoms/problems.
The Car has been starting and running good with Houston weather below 40F last several days
I have attached many pictures, might help others.
Pin 1 and 6 (big Orange and red) corrosion Inspected board Under driver seat Used silicone spray and tooth pick to clean pins and connectors. Used electrical tape covered all the wires thru connector before putting back in.
