Missing Check valves in 722.902, 2008GL320

Missing Check valves in 722.902, 2008GL320
Hi , have previous thread on this forum with rough change into 2nd
put new o rings on solenoid valves, new filter new fluid put together and still the same
When we pulled apart the valve body noted that the check valves for B3 and K1 were missing. Am wondering if this is the cause.
I have seen other stuff on the web with missing check valves but not on the 722.902, I have heard of it on later transmissions, and ones with stop start - am I missing something
I will do a reply to this with photo of missing valves.(photo on phone)
I am trying to work out if these valves have been lost (not by me - but there was signs that the valve body had been removed at some time (the electrical connector was not on properly - just not clicked - not the cause of problem as is now))
There are no error codes , the car is new to me - the 1-2 change is terrible (flare bump) and the 3-4 is flare. 2-1 is also poor (flare bump)
Have other x164, and w164 and the shift quality on this one is terrible in comparison
Have pulled other 722.902 valve bodies apart but can't recall missing check valves

Pan magnets pretty clean, last transmission service was >130,000 km ago (according to sevice book) oil was obviously old but not particularly burnt
Have not done adaptation yet - my scanner is limited but will get it done next weekend with a mate who has a better scanner

I am sorry I have not found a tsb on it. Have searched a few possibilities for wording but nil found
