Weird Airmatic noise...this can't be right!

I have a well documented AIRmatic journey through out these forums and I am pleased to say that my AIRmatic system is technically working the way that it should.
I have no lights on...no codes...no sagging.

My only issue is when the system purges air it is super loud and it sounds like something is wrong.
It definitly never sounded like that before.

My question is is there something that may not have gotten put on right that usually quiets that noise of the air purging?
I can even hear it when I am driving.

Ive never had a 100% working AIRmatic system either lol...

Yes, my 164 GL450 always was loud but my 166 GL63 is quiet. The Airmatic always worked as it should with the exception of bad airbags and a worn compressor.

On another note, my GL450 finally died or so I think. We had some really bad storms roll through and apparently the passenger side sunroof drain failed to drain and water was pouring in and on the passenger side seat. The water then made its way to the front sam which caused a short and rolled the windows down. From there, the car flooded and by the time I noticed the issue the car smelled like burnt plastic and was still smoking from the cars wiring shorting out. Pretty sure its totaled given the age and cost to repair.

Oh no. So sorry - but should be good for hard parts, if you need/want them.

bye the bye; a fully functional airmatic system is sort of loud when adjusting pressure whoppscchhhh and whoosh noises are normal.

Ooo! I think I can assist with this one:

The air compressor should be pretty darn quiet when running or purging excess air.

I had a loud noise when venting, and found it to be the intake air hose, broken open from fatigue.

Probably would be a good idea to replace it with one that is fiber reinforced.

FYI, the air intake (before the filter) should be up high. If it sucks water in, the dessicant will be roont, and the pump could hydrostatic lock. I think ideally the filter intake should be pointed down so that ejected dirt can fall out.
