How do you know why the Tranmission is slipping?

Being that this is an electric transmission when it slips is it any different?
I just did a trans service and the fluid was BLACK and he thought there
might be some shavings in there.

Slipping is just that - accelerator pedal applied and engine rpms increase with less than proportional vehicle speed increase. Generally it’s obvious.

Also hard shifting or banging, or shifting unexpectedly.

Slipping and banging can be either friction surface failure or hydraulic (solenoid) blockage or failure.

What symptoms are you experiencing?

In the market
How many miles? I have been doing a drain and fill with new filter every 10-15k since I tow a lot. I have noticed the difference in performance between fluids.

increased rpms sporadically…notice it mostly when going downhill but 90% of the time it drives good. I hear a weird rattle which I can’t tell if it’s engine or tranny related! I just did the tranny service and the fluid was pretty bad
