Arrows On Dash

I noticed that when I am driving the D on the dash has an arrow on it but occasionally as I transverse the craters on my drives in Nigeria I notice that the P and R also comes up with arrow that goes away? What's going on? Thanks.,

Arrows indicate that you can shift in to whatever has the arrow pointing to it. Above a certain speed you can't shift in to park or reverse, so the arrows go away. Drop below the speed and the arrows come back indicating that you can shift in to park or reverse again.

Okay thanks. This makes sense because I'm usually at very low speeds for a long time.

There was another thread on the board here where someone was really curious about what would happen if you shifted into reverse when you were moving forward… Looks like you found the opportunity to test it out ha ha ha.
