Transfer case troubles - ISO rebuild kit

Hi I got my dad a 2010 GL 450 about a year ago. Recently he ran into a problem with the SUV shaking a lot in the rear. After inspecting it myself I saw that the seal for the shaft was leaking and he had ran the transfer case dry. I took it apart in the hopes of fixing it and replaced the seal.(ordered from fcp) When I was inspecting the bearings one of them seemed to seize a bit while it was spun dry with my finger. I put everything back together and 90% of the shaking went away but it's still there. There is no leak anymore I am trying to search for a rebuild kit that includes all bearings and chain etc but haven't been able to find one. Can anyone provide me a link to a rebuild kit? My dad likes the car but doesn't want to spend the 6k MB is asking for a transfer case (just the case). If I can I'd rather diy it and save the money and the car.

This place is a joke.
Buy a used one on Ebay and don't waste time or money trying to rebuild it.

I may have to do that as it's kinda difficult to find the parts kit. I saw a transfer case for 750+ 7 dollars shipping witch isn't too bad compared to MB price.

You may find some better prices here, or at your local junkyards. Be aware there are 2 different transfer cases for your model depending on whether it has the off-road package with a 2-speed case, or the standard single speed case.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
The two speed case is rare; and is visually distinguished from its more common single speed variant. You should be able to source the latter from a pick n pull having 2006-2012 ML, GL and Rs, or search on lkq.com for an already harvested part.

dont **** around with your burnt up core.

A 2007 popped up in a pick-n-pull near me not too long ago. I could grab the transfer case out of it if you end up not being able to find something better. The shipping is always going to be the tough part, but we can do a lot better than $750
