Mysterious 722.9 Issue
Hi all, I’ve developed a strange issue in my 07 GL450 with the transmission hesitating at around 40mph and eventually accelerating. It seems like it’s an issue with the torque converter. I got the code P757 and since then have changed the torque converter with a rebuilt one and also changed the solenoid in the valve body for the torque converter. Issue is still happening and clueless on what to do next. I also did my conductor plate 2 years ago with the updated VGS3. Any advice much appreciated.

Given the work you have done on this transmission, the options I see are a new (rebuilt) transmission or new vehicle.

I don’t think @chassis is being flippant in any way here, the cost of this repair will be more than the worth of the car at this point ($5-6k).
Source another newer X164 and hold on to this one as a parts car.
