GL 450 completely dead - good battery
2012 GL 450 completely dead though the battery is registering 12.54 volts.
My first thought is that the ECU is hosed any other ideas? Could be a bad ground I suppose. Also how do I even open the rear doors. without power?

There are many computers besides the ECU, so depending on your definition of "completely dead", I'd say that's probably not it.
You have to proceed methodically. If you read nominal voltage on the battery, but nothing works, find out how far that voltage makes it from the battery before it no longer exists.
