Another rear view camera post.....
Hi all, first post and new member with a non operating with 2008 GL320 rear view camera, when I put the car in reverse, nothing happens on the comand screen, no black, no "no video" message, not even a flicker.
I have removed the camera, tested it on my workshop tv, it works, I have 6.75 volts from the voltage control module (not the same location as W164 either), after a VIN search, it was originally optioned with a rear view camera from new, I've tried to check for any settings in the comand unit, including in Engineering mode, but can't find anything relating to turning the camera on or off.
I've tried with an OBD scantool as well, but could not find anything there either.
I'm running out of ideas, have I missed anything?

Possibly glitching in the rear SAM.
It is a labyrinth of interconnected computers, and troubleshooting is a giant pain. Beyond looking for physical damage, such as water intrusion, about the only practical thing to do is confirm a healthy electrical supply voltage. An ancillary piece of equipment like the backup camera - I'd just be grateful an old 320 is still running and forget about the camera.
