rear driver side door lock won't lock, 2007 GL450
All other three door locks work fine.
The Rear Left door lock won't lock, with car key remote or with door lock button.
When pressing lock/unlock button, the black stick of RL at window sill will pop up and down, same as other three door locks, but the RL door can be opened by pulling exterior handle, which will trigger car alarm (door opened while supposedly locked).
Does this mean a bad actuator? anyway to fix it? thanks a lot,

there is a video on Youtube on how to replacing the lock actuator, and the author has replaced 3 out of the 4 door actuators on his 2009 GL450.

thanks for the note, wonder how to manually lock it after exiting the car, by turning the mechanical key in the key hole on the exterior door handle? thanks again.

central locking will not be able to change the doors lock status and it will remain locked.
i had been parking in some sketch places for years until I discovered the door wasn’t locking but luckily, no soup kitchens to report
or one could take it apart to see which rod or lever has come off I spose
