2011 upgraded tail lights leakage?

2011 upgraded tail lights leakage?
I am putting some new tail light gaskets in my wife’s 2009 ML350. I was wondering if the upgraded 2011 GL550 gaskets also have the problem?
old gaskets for ML R164-826-1691 & 164-826-1591 L
new style FOR GL 164-826-1291 & 1191
Dont want to waste money if the newer style does not have the leakage issues.. thanks for any thoughts and experiences. Bill
