Rear glass replacement
does anyone have WIS or experience in replacing this? Looks pretty straightforward with a couple of electrical connections and a glued surface.
I figure at this point I’ll do a better job than Safelite if provided the instructions.
it is but the local satellite sucks, its in a bad part of town and I have a glue gun.
id rather buy the glass and do it in my own garage unless there are some really special tools involved per Wis

You push it between the glass and body then saw back and forth while pulling up on it to drag the wire around the glass.
I'm assuming its glued on by Urethane. To reinstall cut the tip of the urethane tube in a deep V notch. So when you apply it to the new glass, the shape of the bead will be a triangle shape. Use masking tape to hold inplace for at least 24 hrs Use little wood wedges (bottom of glass and bodyline) to stop it from sagging down.
Safelite took 4 hrs because they found some “rust” but were actually completing minor, easier rock chip repairs ahead of me.
The work itself took 30 minutes.
Again, avoid if you can.
