Level Sensor Linkages.

I have a 09' GL320 Bluetec.

The level sensor control arms/linkages are pretty corroded and cause their motion to be very stiff, looking for a full replacement set.

Found these here, which are made out of metal, which seems ideal.

https://suspensionsuperstore.com/2006-2015-mercedes-gl-2-5-drop-kit

Unfortunately they dont come with the socket ball, which i need to find replacements.

I was wondering if anyone has used these drop-kit linkages, if so, do you know where to get the replacement *****?

Just reading the URL’s these seem to be drop links. Meaning your GL will ride lower than stock.

nothing wrong with a set of four stock plastic MB ones, with dry lube in the sockets. Have you tried eBay or the mb parts desk at your local deale?

If i could get a stock set i would definitely buy them, but cant locate.

My local dealers are some sleeze ***** that sell parts for 4x what ya can get them for online.

These linkages have the range of stock height to lowering by 2.5 inchs.

Not sure if this would help, but... in many cases the "stiffness" is simply gunk/corrosion in the ball joint/cup. You can pop them off, clean the ball and cup, then reinstall with a little grease and be good to go.

There was a guy on here that did a full off road conversion to his GL. He made custom links to the height sensors, which were adjustable. Perfect solution.

Maybe someone else remembers who that was... he cut and welded the frame, etc...

I want to say those links were just Heim joints with threaded rod… It didn’t look the part, but it certainly worked

I would personally dip each ball end into a can of plasti-dip (thick stuff used for handles) that should help keep the crap out. I want to do that to my wifes. She wants a slightly higher ride height with bigger tires (she's more a truck girl lol).
