Has anyone upgraded radio besides the AVIN brand
This summer I am looking to swap the headlight xenon reflectors, radio and a few other things. Car runs so good that I am thinking of keeping it for a long long time.
i have read the install details of AVIN center console but that is a little old now. Has anyone done any other radio swap like JVC , kenwood or Sony , pioneer brands and able to save radio and audio fade function ?
please share the brand and model if you are happy with swap.

Check my recent post. I went with DUDU 7 11.5 screen and wow it's amazing. Better than my 2024 AMG GT. You can buy any aliexpress android HU and install. AVIN is not the only one. I found AVIN overpriced and less features than most other chinese brands. MEKEDE and DUD7 are top quality with amazing support to match. Check out Reditt for Android HU as well.

Radio Yes. Backup Camera Yes. Rear Entertainment I would and I have a plan. Still project is not finished as 360 cameras are pending and so is Rear Entertainment with video from front. The RSE works independently with headphones and DVD discs but the video from Front to back and audio would be next project. There are USB to svideo adapters in aliexpress that would fix it. Just haven't had time as the base unit is so much more than I would have hoped for. The audio quality is amazing for the DUDU 7 unit as well.

Any double din head unit will work with an install kit. Very easy install. You'll also need a MOST converter to use the stock amp. Name brand head units (Pioneer, Sony etc.) will have fewer features than the android based units, but will also have fewer issues since they don't rely on custom versions of old Android builds.
