2012 - GL 350 (x164) - How do I stop air suspension from working when lifting my car?
The last time I changed my tires, the tire shop lifted my car on their list. When the car was raised it looked fine. When they dropped it down back on the floor the car went all the way down. It looked like there was no gap between the tires and the fenders. I was worried at that point.
When I started the car it raised up and leveled back out.
This brings me to the current problem - I need to raise my rear driver side wheel to change the brake pads and rotor, they are making noise. Luckily for me it’s freezing here in Toronto and the air suspension is malfunctioning. It’s stuck at the same ride height which I don’t actually mind. My only concern is if I raise the rear driver side with a jack stand and air suspension isn’t working, it might just come back down all the way flat and not raise up.
I have the following two codes;
C1505
Status: NOT PRESENT - Recovery times during filling of air suspension strut is too long.
C1508
Status: PRESENT - The pressure line system leaks.
I have photos of both fuse boxes, should I just remove all air suspension related fuses before jacking up?
or should I disconnect the battery before jacking up?
would really appreciate any advice! Happy new year!
You can disable the system from doing anything by pulling the 2 40 amp maxi breakers in the engine bay fuse panel. but you will have leak down in the bags and then no way to re-inflate them if those breakers pulled.
The system will try to re-level the bags every time a door is opened unless you have the breakers pulled.

I just need to slightly raise the driver side rear wheel to change the pads and rotors.
wont be lifting all four
will probably lift it just to get the wheel off the ground
