Hi Everyone,

Our 2012 GL 350 has some gremlins.

Once before a number of years ago the car went crazy. Almost every dash and warning light was flashing and buzzing. Then it said the car would shut down . We drifted into the dealer. It literally died right in front of the front door. LOL.

They fixed it and said it was the radar sensors.

At that time the wipers stopped working too. Which I mentioned was a dangerous situation to have the wipers connected to something that would stop them from working.

Last night my wife was driving and the wipers stopped again. We live in a northern climate and this isnt something we can have.

The parking assist has been acting up as well.

Before I dig deep into this I wondered if there is a way to just take all radar sensors and parking assist offline? I dont need it or use it.

After that if the wipers still arnt working I wondered if there is any things to check about the wipers and getting them working?

Thank you.

You have a water intrusion problem somewhere that is causing all these electrical gremlins.

Look under the passenger seat in the battery compartment for water

Look in the trunk in the spare tire area for water

If you have water, the electronic modules that control all these things are corroded and corrupted.
stop driving the car at that point and consider writing it off as a total insurance loss if you are able to.

if everything is dry, have the car read out on a Mercedes scan tool two determine which module is at the end of its life… But the symptoms you’re describing, I might be thinking of the front signal acquisition module, which is under the driver seat, I believe.
