Mercedes brake booster recall follow-up question
I was wondering if Mercedes ever followed up with the owners of affected vehicles of the brake booster recall issued in 2022. There was a stop driving call issued at that time and they would ask you to bring the vehicle to a dealer to have it inspected. My report came back with some rust and must be re-checked within two years. Since then, I never got any new notification so I took an appointment today for the follow-up inspection.
I just got a call from the dealer that my car is ready, and when I asked them whether they replaced the brake booster they said no it was fine and that there would be no need for further follow-up on the issue.
I was wondering whether you had the same experience ?
