I have a 722.904 transmission that needs a new B2 clutch drum because mine has spider cracks. Mine is a 288552A 6-clutch drum with a casting number of R-220-272-17-31, but the one I’ve found is also a 288552A 6 clutch drum but it has a casting number of R-220-272-25-31. Is there any difference in the two? Are they interchangeable?

I don’t know the answer to this, other than that there are two separate versions of the 722.9 - the car version has a torque limit of 400Nm versus the V8/SUV version that has a 700Nm limit - thus, the internals may differ between the two versions. You may have a B2 part from the car version - I don’t know.
And by the way, are you sure they are cracks? Shrinkage lines during the alucasting process can sometimes look like cracks. Magnaflux to be sure.
Definately hairline cracks. Magnaflux would get into these for sure. Not all the way through, but will at some point. Replacements are smooth on the crown.
