Also, any recomendations on which market to buy from? Denver dealers (only 3) aren't that friendly and helpfull. I get the feeling that if your not in a 3 piece suit, they don't want to talk to you.
Thanks

I tried a dealer up in Baltimore and they at $1,500 off over E-mail.
Would like to hear other peoples experiences but I am thinking can go to $3-4k?
I am tempted to order one with lead time for December delivery and hope MBUSA puts some winter event incentives on them. I assume that's a slim chance on brand new model though right? I am also looking at the GL350 and know the diesels often get excluded from factory incentives...

I seem to remember he'd post his salesman's name and contact information, so you might be able to find a direct line.
I'm not sure what's happened to NevadaJack. He was retired military and I noticed he hasn't posted to the forums in quite some time.
Denver dealers did say the the 2nd row power seat was going to be available on the MY14.

I have never ordered a car before. I am planning to trade in an ML, which adds a level of complexity. In my state the trade will offset the sale price when calculating tax, so trading make sense to me unless I can get more than 2,000 more on a private sale. However I feel if I order, dealer will give me a ballpark on the ML, but 2 months later can screw me a little bit on the trade value, when the new GL is sitting there ready for delivery.
Anyone have any advice on dealing with this? The feeling from the dealers I have spoken with is the value will generally be the same if I just put 1-2k miles on it, but I can see "generally" being up to interpretation when the new vehicle actually arrives. Worst comes to worse just private sell it or go to carmax then, but figure will be loosing out on $2k tax benefit at least...
Thanks in advance.
I ended up settling on a price for my trade-in value, surrendering the car immediately, and having the dealership hold the money in escrow until my new vehicle comes in. Holding in escrow was necessary to have it be a 'trade-in' and save the sales tax implications.
