Is "tobacco" brown offered on the GL350? I see the "Auburn" Brown only.

I like the look of that leather color. Somehow seems very suitable for an SUV. Once the kids are older will make the switch I think and be able to enjoy the vented seats as well.

Those pictures are the best I have seen of the auburn brown color! Some earlier pictures had a more "pinkish" tone....yuck! But these are great and the color has a very "rich" "leathery" look!

Where did you get the 739 order code ?

Aluminum trim is not a option for the X166 - any model - at least for the US - of course the Canadians always claim they have something different !

Keep the beat !

FAB, The PDF you posted in post #7 of this thread shows the 739 order code for the X166. The model specific pdfs didn't have it.

The model specific pdf's are the actual model config tool for each specific model - and the "bible" for that model at that time of order... sorry for any confusion

heated wood steering wheel
Does anybody know if a heated WOOD steering wheel is available for the GL550 as a special option? All other models get only a FULL LEATHER steering wheel if it is heated (option 443), but i heard that only on the GL550 it is possible to get the heated steering wheel in wood. The S class has the wood heated steering wheel as an option, so I do not know if this is possible for the GL550.

If it is possible, what is the option number and how should I instruct the dealers to include it in the order?

Thank you!

i too thought the same thing-
unfortunately on GL 550s theres is NO heated wood steering wheel option- i asked my dealer too, also on mbusa website the pictures clearly shows and the message clearly states- heating steering wheel will exclude wood leather steering wheel-
so for now- no such option - i love the heated wheel but still went with wood cuz it really makes a difference in cabin look, imho

I guess the difficulty would be in inserting heating elements in the wood sections...... in other words.....no way to actually heat the wood. You could still have heat in the leather covered sections, but the overall "heated wheel" effect would be minimal.

Heated wood steering wheel on GL550
Thank you, guys! My dealer in NJ told me the same thing, but a dealer in Alabama told me that she built a ML550 with a heated WOOD steering wheel!

Fabbrisd1', you have been very generous with your advice as an insider, what do you think?

Thanks!

Wrong (but correct in your logic). The S/CL already offer a heated wood/ leather wheel. The heating element is only behind the leather and not in the wood. MB is just stubborn and will only offer the heated wood/ leather wheel on those two lines while all other lines get either a heated wheel or a wood wheel but not both.
