GL350 run flat replacement

I own a 2012 GL350 with 18K miles. The 20" run flats are not the greatest ride and considering I can not find them much cheaper than $500 per tire, I am looking for a comparable replacement.
Preferably something much cheaper and a nicer ride. Any suggestions ???

As you will read many places, switching from run flats to regular tires will give you dramatic ride improvement, as well as the cost savings you mention. I have 18" on worn RFLs right now, can't imagine what 20s are like...

Plus, standard tires are reapirable, in most instances Run Flats are not.

Challenge your dealer Service Dept for tire price match, and installation deal.

"Most" US dealers use places like TireRack too during off season.

Good advice, I was planning on it and the dealers around here some even advertise they will match online prices.

Just curious what is the off season for buying tires? Spring/Summer?

"Off Season" - I should have said "most of the time" - sorry for misinterpretation.

Most MB dealers know they need to be competitive in the tire business - when asked by the customer with facts to be competitive.

Tire Rack wholesale program can run from free freight, to 5%-7% discount on some tires - so puts most dealers and independents who can order in at same prices as stocking "volume" tire dealer.

Keep the beat !

Good to know and glad that is happening. Would much prefer to get a dealer to do the installation and alignment etc. for a reasonable premium.

I wouldn't go to any dealer to do it unless they have huge discount for that job. Any Indy shop with good reputation and Road Force 9700 machine can do the same job faster and cheaper. The only thing you'll miss there is free coffee

A fair point however don't have an indy shop I trust in the area currently, so figure the dealer is better than Mr.Tire...

Check size P275/55R20 for a larger selection of much cheaper(but non-RFT) tires.
