Go to the Phone Menu in Command. On the bottom of the screen there is an option for Text Messaging. The manual talks all about it. According to APPLE the iPhone has the MAP protocol. So, text messaging should work. On my display it is there, but is dimmed out. My phone works perfectly and is paired. Contacts are there, no problems at all except this text messaging feature does not work. Anyone have a similar issue? This is on a 2 month old 2013 GL450.

Found the problem. Turns out there is a setting on the iPhone under Bluetooth. You need to bring up the MB Bluetooth connection by clicking the far right arrow. Then you need to turn on Show Notifications. Image is attached. It is working. You see the text that comes in and you can reply by using SIRI. Will try it once we get through the BLIZZARD tomorrow. :-)

Mine had the same problem, however, once I was able to resolve the data connection problem. My text messages are visible on screen and the system computer reads them out to you.
