2013 GL350 CEL on but no code in the scanner
I'm going to enable MBRACE and see if they can read the code. Either way it's back to the dealer. Always important to keep a record of this stuff. The car runs fine, gas cap on etc.
Do the mBrace thing - and report what they are or are not able to see on their remote diagnostic - I have been told they can read all - this would be a good test.
CEL means Check Systems - so it should be something "relatively" minor - so please report back.
if you are here in the US on mBrace - you register and secure with a credit card - make sure they are clear with the emergency contact info you want to have on file.
Basically you have free 6 months standard and 3 months free "premium" and 3 months free "apps".
At about 2 months from mBrace registration you will receive a snail-mail-letter advising you the 3-month free trial premium/apps will soon expire - if you want to cancel use the "i" button in your truck to contact customer service and advise them you want to cancel at expiration of the free trial.
At about 5 months from registration you will receive a 2nd letter, advising expiration soon on the standard mBrace serive - if you want to cancel at end of free trial a 2nd "i" button call.
If you do nothing when you receive those letters - at the end of free trial it will roll over to paid subscription for those services.
I would also suggest you go to mbusa.com - Owner's Support section - free registration for MB Owner's Online - which will allow MB to email you directyl on any campaigns/recalls etc - and also in Owner's Support Section download the free pdf copies of both the Owners Manual and the COMAND manual - take a look at the videos on key features in the Owners Support section as well.
The dealer "should" have setup mBrace for you - but with so much to go over on features during delivery - time crunch on delivery often cuts things short before mbrace gets setup.
Keep the beat !
