After 5000 miles....

Active Lane Keep Assist: is wonderful but it does not know "everything"... be aware: traveling down a two lane road with good lines that the system can see....center line plus a solid line on the right indicating the side of the road; coming at you is a "wide load" vehicle so yoy move over to the right to give him room..... the system sees you moving over a solid line, a major NO... it jumps in and attempts to move you BACK to the left , you overide and keep the vehicle to the right..... the guy behind you says. " whats wrong with that guy!! " Still.... the system is worth every penny!

From what I read, it only pushes back if you have the turn signal on.

Agreed, it works well most of the time, but I've also seen when I want to go off the main lane it questions my intelligence.

I agree with Steve, if you think to put your blinker on it won't correct, but usually this is an evasive move and you don't think of blinker.

I think you meant to say if you forget to use the turn signal.

Right Jim...... As I said , this was a two lane road, traffic behind me and the wide load coming at me..... under those circumstances I did what I have always done, move over a bit to give the guy room and the system tried to jerk me back ( what it's supposed to do) if I can remember to do so, I will activate the signal in the next instance. Just something for those of us who have it to be aware of....... Other than that , all is well after 5k ! Really impressed with the "sport" setting on the off road package..... Changes the shift points, throttle response in addition to the suspension settings......previous 2011 model , "sport" only changed the suspension.

Actually, I was mixing up Blind Spot with Lane Change. Whoops. It is Blind Spot that pushes you back if the signal is on and the red triangle is active.

As far as changing lanes, that just does a bump-bump on the steering wheel when you do not use the turn signal. I did not realize it also tries to correct.

Interesting.

Interesting.

Actually .... it only tries to correct IF...the center line is a double line OR the line on either side of the vehicle is a SOLID line.....very capable system but fortunately human beings are still needed to ascertain the danger of a "wide load" coming at you!
