I recently purchased a GL450, but did not have time to order, and could not locate a P2 package in my area. I absolutely love everything about this SUV except the stock audio system which is absolulty horrible. I just came out of a 2013 E class with the logic7, which was leaps and bounds better than this.

I am hoping that there are other owners who have upgraded their audio system from the stock, and would be so kind as to share what speakers they used and how much of an improvement they feel was achieved.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I thought it was just my hearing gone bad. My '08 had decent sound but the '13 is not good at all. Muddy, no mid-range adjustment. I'm looking around for speakers and will let you know if I find some.

 

Did you ever make any speaker upgrades? Be interested in your experience. I bought a 2015 GL350 but did not find one I liked that had the upgraded HK stereo. The stock system is only OK really and if there are some easy fixes I would love to do them.

" if there are some easy fixes I would love to do them" - in today's world of auto electronics - other than plug in accessories which have exploded in range function - modification of the core head unit id difficult++ - and in my opinion with existing OE systems "upgrading" speakers is a job for a professional shop rather than DIY -
