has anyone successfully copy over MP3 files to the Music Register (built in storage)? I thought I could put personal Mp3s on USB and able to copy onto the harddrive but to no avail.

Manual states that you need to have DVD file. Is this the only way other than putting in audio CD?

I guess I am reading on other forums that you can only copy over CD audio files only due to copy right issues.

Why not leavve them on the USB stick and call it a day !

Yep agreed. I just thought with 30 gig of so called space for music that I can just copy my MP3 collection with ease but evidently that's not the case.

The "burn" to the hard drive is slow even from a CD - you have faster process and - and more versatility to make changes using a USB drive or SD card - 8GB on sale is like $10 everywhere - some with immense collection, meaning immense, have used a 2 1/2" portable hard drive I have not done that but I am told the hard drive needs to be formatted to FAT 32
