Electronics malfunction in rain?

While driving 2013 GL320 in heavy rains on Interstate, Distronic Plus and Lane Assyst both showed faults on dash. Yellow lights on side mirrors came on and stayed on and Distronic Plus did not work. Pulled over turned off and restarted engine...all reset ok, then malfunctioned again 15 minutes later. Stopped, restarted and has not done it since.
Anyone else experience? wondering if somehow related to heavy rain.

See the owner's manual pages 310-312. Electronics will shut down in heavy rain. It happened to me in heavy rain. It came back on by itself when the rain slowed. It was not necessary to stop and turn the car off and back on.

A gaggle of MB's
Normal - sensors in both systems cannot read thru heavy rain - so "yellow" comes on to tell you system is offline, you get similar notice from Distronic... pulling off and off/on is just a short term reset and not safe...

I've seen them turn off in heavy snow as well - normal operation when the radars aren't able to 'see' properly.
