Should I buy a mercedes car seat for toddler
My granddaughter is 1 yr old. I'm reading that the rear seat headrests need to be removed in order to fit a car seat. Mercedes makes one although very pricy over $500 will it fit with the headrests in my GL350?

I know there's been a great deal of discussion on this board about problems with car seats and the Easy Entry seat headrests. However, my wife and I have two year old twins and our Recaro Prosport seats seem to fit just fine in the second row with Easy Entry. They are great seats, easy to install and use and sell for less than $300 on Amazon.

Britax all the way
No need. I have had the Britax Blvd (70lbs) and or Marathon (60lbs) are great ones and I have Had them in my 08, 11 and now in my 2013 x166. No need to remove any headrest. Just take them up to the highest point.

i'd suggest the new britax with the new clicktight system. i have two car seat in the second row so if i want to use the third row, i would have to remove one of the car seats. the clicktight allows me to easily remove it and then reinstall it. very simple and it seems more secure. it does come with anchors but i find that people use them too long - they are not meant to be used 40lbs i believe. you have to switch to the seat belt. very happy with them.

also, on my gl450, i do not have to remove the headrests. but as stated, you do have to raise the seat to the highest position. i can see why some would say to remove it if you want to have it very slightly tilted back a little more. what i did was to turn the headrest backward in the highest position (i dont have easy entry so i dont have that issue)
