I would highly recommend the black roof liner selection. Never had black before. Looks sharp and easy to keep clean. My GL is Iridium Silver with black interior.

I like the looks, but my wife doesn't. She says she feels like she's in a cave - too dark inside the car. We have the lighter roof liner in case there's any doubt who rules the roost.

i like the black too. i wasn't too sure about it when the salesperson told me about it, but i think it looks good.

nothing wrong with the grey one either. just a different look. i had grey headliner on my Steel Grey X164 and now i have black headliner and black wood trim on my Steel Grey X166.

i kind of prefer the black headliner now because the cabin feels cozier and sportier (so yes, your wife's comment on the cave-like-feeling is correct!). but i personally like the enclosed feeling in such a large car. doesn't feel as floaty and boaty IMO.

for MY2013 the black headliner was "free" $0 after the $250 one-time flat fee for any/all special order items. not sure what they charge now ...

How do you know what color headliner comes with each car interior? The dealer doesn't know.

I have the Biege interior and the liner is Biege as well. There is darker brown trim on the center console and door handles, then the walnut burl trim, and of course some chrome or aluminum for the handles.

I would expect the liner would be same as your seat trim, unless you special order something different.

What is a bit off is the third row sunroof when you get Panorama, has no sun shade. It is tinted but there is no sun shade and it is really hot back there without one. The two front ones have a sun shade which are retractable. Also, only the front sun roof slides open, the other two are fixed, but the two rear side glasses are remote open/close so should give great ventitlation through the cabin.

I highly recommend the 3 Zone A/C if you get the Panorama Roof and/or live in a warm climate.
