Ventilated seats
Do the ventilated seats draw air from the cabin or from the A/C duct?
I have this feature in my BMW and it draws air from the cabin, so the feature is almost worthless in the summer (I do really like the feature in the fall and spring). The first several minutes of use after getting in the car are uncomfortable because the air is so warm and even after several minutes when the cabin temperature has gone down, it still doesn't work well all that well.
How well does this feature work in the GL?

They are only ventilated, not cooled. There are fans which draw moisture/air (presumably body heat in hot times) away from the body (hence the exhaust in the back of the seats). There is no air blown onto the body thru the vents. Hope that helps.
That is also why you can have both heated seats and ventilated seats on a cold rainy day and they work together.

personally i think they work pretty well compared to some other brands' ventilated seat features. we've had some pretty hot days and the ventilated seats actually do cool your back quite a bit. it actually feels like A/C to me even if it's not.
the fan on the back of the seat facing the 2nd row passengers can be quite loud though on the highest setting.
