Demo car
Hi there,
I'm new here. I just got a quote from dealer
Demo car 2013 gl450. they said, they will give me 5k off from 77K MSRP
it has 1k miles on it.
What do you think? is that a good deal?
anyone has experience with demo car?
Thank you

The term "demo car" really doesn't apply to the car business any more>
1) A true "demo" car is one that has never been registered to a prior owner - and has been run under manufacturer (or conceivably dealer plates) - a true "demo" car has had zero owners - there are very/very/very few true "demo" card anymore.
2) There are "Mercedes executive cars" and "Mercedes program cars" that will show original owner's were short term lease - technically these cars are "one owner" - not "demo" cars.
3) At non-MB dealers there can be "retail buy back cars" - cars that for whatever reason Mercedes has bought back from the original owner, then repaired and released back into retail/non-MB-dealer channel. ALL buy-back cars MUST be identified in the final closing paperwork with buyer sign-off/acknowledgement.
Yes - there are low mileage one-owner GL's - and those GL's are valued by two major points:
1) the equipment and original retail as a value benchamrk
2) and the added value of Mercedes Certfieid pre-Owned 100K warranty - especially of vaslue to those owners planning to drive 15K miles a year or more - with CPO warranty added on top of remaining new car warranty - recent model/new generation CPO GL's can be a top value
Keep the beat !

Fab, is that a new development? My 2007 GL450 was a "MB executive car" with $7,000 miles on it. It was never titled prior to me taking ownership.
Back to the OP's question I don't think that's a great deal on a GL450, but some geographies are more constrained than others. A GL350 or GL550 would be a different discussion.
