Cold Feet
Not the idiom, reality.
This is my 3rd MB ('03 ML, '07 GL, '13 GL). I typically leave the climate control on 'auto' and just adjust the temperature as I need for hot or cold days.
I have found that on my '13 GL when I set the temperature via auto in winter, I can be comfortable from my waist up, but my feet get cold. It is much cooler in the footwells. I typically have to switch to manual to push more air to the floor to keep my whole body comfortable.
Has anyone else seen this? I'm wondering if it's normal, or if I should have my dealer look for a blockage of some sort in the floor ducts.

My feet were cold too.
I was playing with the system and found that the rear zone was off auto, and the fan was set to its lowest setting. (Obviously I have 3 zone system.)
Once I turned the rear zone to auto and set it to the same temp as the front two zones... everything was good!

I don't have 3 zone, but I do have some control of the back seat because of the heated seats. I put the back console to push the heat to the floor instead of the body and find it helps some.

Personally, I've found this to be an issue in my old S-class, the GL, and our CLS. The auto feature does a lousy job in the winter keeping your whole body warm. Either I get good heat up top or at my feet. I used to get annoyed that my wife would change the setting to manual and choose where she wanted the heat, but I do the same now. It works much better...shouldn't really be that way, but ???
