Waiting for ordered GL350
Pulled the Trigger in December for a GL350BT
I want to say thank you to everyone contributing to this Forum, you have in one way or the other helped us in pulling the trigger for a MY2014 GL350BT. This is our first GL (We are coming from Minivan). We checked out a lot of cars -Lexus GX 470, LX 570, Acura MDX, Infinity QX 60 and QX 80 but decided to go for the GL. We will only be doing city/highway driving.
Thanks especially to JimBarnhart and Fabbrisd1, you guys rock. Production start date is expected to be in late February with a delivery date in early April.
Here in Calgary, GL350BT is the reigning GL (something to do with diesel and torque) and difficult to get, so we custom ordered one with the following packages at a cost of CDN$85k:
1. Premium package
2. Premium seating package for the Rear climate control. it can be very cold here.
3. Driving assistance package -passive
4. Sport package -AMG styling with 21'' Wheels and running boards
5. Diamond Sliver with black leather interior (kids) and designo black fabric Roof Liner.
Did not like splitview or night view assist, so did not get it.

congratulations!!.. we are anxiously waiting for ours. I was told today the status changed to red in the MB order system which supposedly means they are ready to build any day. Original production schedule was second week of Feb.

yea they started charging $500 this year lol, got mine with the sport package for free in 2013.
