Mercedes new design elements coming to GL?

Hi guys, I've been thinking about trading in my current 07 CLS63 to a GL350 with AMG pack (New Zealand) for a while. However a few things are holding me back at the moment:

- The new design language introduced by S class has now been extended to more new models e.g. the new C class and even the new V class mini-van have got the latest interior design as well as the all new gadgets. I really love the new interior design. Question is, will they be applied to the GL any time soon, maybe through a mid-life upgrade? I generally have no complaints of the interior quality of the GL, but the design of the interior really feels outdated to me.

- The E class has got the autonomous driving off the S class now, is S class getting the same kind of technologies any time soon?

- Others like the LED headlights will also be a good thing to have.

I know I may be asking too much here , but I really want to at least have the choice to tick some of the new cool things when I am building my own GL. So ideas?

The earliest mid cycle refresh under the best conditions would be 2015 model year which I doubt will introduce anything significant, 2016 is a more likely mid cycle refresh when you will most likely see LED headlight option, 9 Speed transmission standard, stop/start, possibly a retuned diesel engine ( so as not to fall behind Porsche's new 300 hp diesel vs the 240hp MB).

Wouldn't it be nice if they had charts that compared each year to the following years of the same model. Something like a X166 DELTA chart. For example, it would have been nice to know that they actually put in a more sensitive and updated forward looking camera in the 2014 over the 2013 that provides some of the dependent systems with better capabilities. There are many subtle changes in what I would characterize as the process of "continuous improvement." I plan to trade in my 2013 for a 2017 and knowing all of this would be valued.

Where did you hear that they changed the forward camera?

MB in NJ customer service center contacted MB Engineering. The 35 mph minimum on the intelligent headlamps was due to camera sensitivity. Updating the camera allowed them to lower the minimum speed to about 14mph for the headlamps to engage and disengage the high beams. Other features were also enhanced by adding the improved camera. That's about all I know.
