Used 2013 GL450 or New 2014 GL350 ???

I am looking for a SUV for my wife. We need a reasonable 3rd row for occasional use. I anticipate 7-8 K miles per year. We looked into few other options. 3rd row on BMW X5 and Range rover sport is a joke. My wife is not too enthusiastic about MDX. I also checked Q7 but I am hesitant to buy a 2014 model to save myself from buyer's remorse next year as it will be significantly refreshed for MY 2015.

Finally we are left with MB GLs. We both like the vehicle except the mileage on GL450. New 2014 GL350 will be close to 72K and we all know used 2013 GL350s are a rare species. I am wondering if a used 2013 GL450 (< 20 K miles and 55--60K price) is a better deal considering low annual mileage for us. I will appreciate any suggestions/input/opinions.

A CPO GL is a very good bet....

1. Someone else took the first big bite of depreciation.
2. Probably will be able to get a very good finance rate.
3. You will get a better warranty.
4. The virgin-ness wears off in 30 days... But the happiness of a "deal" never wears off.. ( unless you buy AMG... Then the virgin -ness never wears off or the frightful reality of resale depreciation will give you a coronary!!)

I'd say go for it!

A gaggle of MB's
You will have a lot-of-fun with the a new GL350 - that torque monster is a lot of fun around town and 600 miles per tank highway range - and "most" dealer at this moment "could" have open end-April production slots still changeable.

With your miles-per-year - go new - reward yourself - take advantage of a custom-build - get exactly the colors/features that will maximize your wife's happiness -EVERY life well-lived, should have at least one new-new Mercedes experince - enjoy the expereince !

Keep the beat !

Thanks guys for your input. I would have loved a deal on used 2013s but so far all the models that I have seen resonably priced are pretty basic when it comes to options. Most have MB Tex and pretty sparse on optional equipement. Despite that, most CPOs are listed > 63 K which compared to new (with similar options) gives only 5K worth of savings which I feel is not worth the effort on a $70K car. Maybe my idea of used deal is different but I am leaning towards going with a new one. Atleast I will get to enjoy the new car smell.
