auto pay and MSDs

dealer says cannot combine the two discounts and have to pick between auto pay and msd. fact or fiction? I know can't do msd with special MF, but GL leases are std MF these days. i have seen conflicting answers. thank you.

That is true, you cannot combine the two. However some dealers do combine them because they simply don't know. I don't know if it'll get rejected at the finance office, but its worth a try.

Most dealers don't know about MSD's either, as only a few people ask about it, so there may be a learning curve.

no, they don't know anything about msd. at least the finance guy was honest and said no one ever asked about them and i've never done a deal with msd. thank you for your response.

So, does Mercedes have MSD or not? I inquired from my dealer and was told no. Should I speak with finance? Will be finalizing the lease on Monday.

Mercedes does have MSD. Each Security Deposit reduces the MF by .00007, maximum of 10 MSD.

Each MSD is your monthly payment rounded up to the nearest $50, so $401 monthly will become $450 and $398 monthly will become $400.

so here's what my finance guy told me after speaking with MBFS (so he said). just as Ah_gl450 described, BUT, you cannot do MSD if you make capital cost reductions and they consider everything except fleet discount or a rebate as capital cost reduction. I like to pay inceptions out side of lease such as stealer fee and origination fee. nope, cannot do that. that is considered a cap cost reduction. I always thought cap cost reduction meant cash to reduce price of car itself. nope. MB MF is no bargain so I see no need to finance fees that cannot be residualized....and i got FCA rate w/ auto pay. interesting fact I was told...can cancel auto pay after a few payments and they don't bump the MF up (take away discount).

What MF you got with w/auto pay?

Could you do MSD and then schedule online (bill payment) thru you bank?

Thanks
