It comes with 2014, but it is a whole piece that has to be taken out and stored separately. Meaning it is not like the x164 that rolls inside the headliner.

We have a 2014 with pano roof and there is definitely a shade that came with it.

We also have a MY14 GL (550) and it comes with the clip on shade for the 3rd row section.

Yea all the GL450's I saw that had panorama came with it. I know it wasn't available on 2013.

From what I have read in other posts, there was no shade for MY 2013. The removable shade was added in the middle of MY 2014, so early ones did not have one. For MY 2015, the issue will be resolved by the decision to eliminate the glass panel over the third row for GLs equipped with the Panoramic Roof option.

It has been added after the initial 2014 deliveries. Some 2014s do and some don't have it.

That's correct. I have a 2014 GL 63 that does not have it but my 2014 GL550 has it. GL63 was delivered in August 2013. GL550 in February 2014.

Well I guess that makes sense why I didn't get one. Mine was Delivered August 2013, and is a GL 350 '14. I wonder if I ask my sales guy about it if they would give me one? Seems stupid that some would get it and some wouldn't.

I have always wondered why they got rid of the roll out feature on this. I've a 2014 GL350 and this irks me that there isn't anything there on my pano roof. Does your shade have a part number that you know of by chance?

OCD - We are only talking about the third panel in the very back. The roller shades only cover the first two larger panels. And if you have the pano roof you should definitely have the roller shades!

After trying suction cup type options from baby stores for awhile, I ordered one from my MB dealer, retail $150 was a bit more than what you would expect if you saw it, but it is the best option so...

That's a bummer that its $150. The first thing my 2 !/2 year old son did was reach up and pull that down when we put his car seat in the third row. He of course then bent it but i kind of straightened it and put it back up there. $150 for that is ridiculous IMHO.
