CREAKING FIXED!
…at least for now! Pictures attached…. but what I did was apply Chapstick to the black gasket/seal areas ( yes, you heard that right…..trick from an old Vermont yankee guy I know ) and also applied a plumbing valve grease to the door latch piece you see in the picture. ( any lithium grease would probably do just fine on this ) On the two pictures of the black gasket/seal stuff, I left a lot of the chapstick up near the top so that it would show up in the pics….then smeared it all the way down and along the black material. Creaking is gone!! One or both of the things i did killed it for at least the moment……..we will see how long it lasts. I think it was around 8 months or so before it started to make the noise in the first place. All of this of course referring to the driver's side front door.

For others with "creaking" seals... actually OE Mercedes item but most dealers don't know what it is..

its pretty sad that we have to do this! my service department has told me that there is a bulletin that calls for replacing all of the window weatherstripping... trying that this week.

blittle - that's impressive!
can i ask, did you only apply the chapstick in the corners that your photos show, or did you do it all the way around all of the door seal/gasket?

only what you see…..( although I was prepared to keep going if what I did did not solve the problem) plus some grease on the latch assembly…..one or the other or both killed it! I believe it was the corner area that was causing the issue….but the latch assembly seemed to have the same kind of "tonal" sound when I played with a bit so i did the grease job on that as well. I just went out and took look at the culprit spots….. the chapstick is starting to dry out, but still visible and still no creaks….I expect I will have to reapply at some point….but, I can live with that…not too interested in having the body shop guys try to "realign the doors" or something like that because I don't think that will do anything. What it truly needs is a redesign of the materials that contact each other at that point.
