Dealer said they would offer $2000 off the msrp($96xxx) for the new 2015 GL450. Do you think it is good enough to settle down? or might be more space to argue for?

It all depends on your local market and specific dealer.

Please understand MY2015 GL450 startup production - it is normal to have a spotty start - don't think of it as production floor/quality issues - has to do with the re-start flow from the component/parts supplier. Just-In-Time production parts delivery and flow gets pinched off for the prior model year - then needs to refreshen/get-deeper and the new MY starts up.

I say this because you can reasonably expect 1-day/2-week slippage at the factory for MY15 rigs dealers are expecting in for 1st-launch, thru September, and into October.

If the dealer quote you have at had if from a distance/accessible dealer - and communication with that dealer has been OK - then overall, yes, you are in the reasonable zone for 1st-adopter/MY15... because frankly with limited production qty's both MB and dealers plan strong sell-thru MY15 GL's at least thru Spring. Yes, no extra incentive from MB to the dealer for MY15 - and $2000 discount from the dealer overall is good faith from their side..
